Why Central Eastern Europe?
With over 13 million homes still to be passed, countries like Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, the Baltics, Ukraine, Romania, and Moldova represent significant opportunities for investment and network expansion. Poland is rapidly scaling up FTTH coverage, targeting 1,1 million new connections by 2027, supported by national goals, EU funding, and private investment.
The Czech Republic is also making strides, aiming to connect one million homes by 2026 through government-backed infrastructure upgrades. Bringing the FTTH Congress to this region offers a timely opportunity to accelerate progress and foster collaboration in building Europe’s fibre future.
